Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz:
Thank you for your letter of recent date concerning your book The Scouting
Way. I am always pleased when citizens take an active interest in the
values of today's society.
I believe very strongly in the Scout Troops of America because these groups
teach the young people of our country about the importance of being a
responsible and good citizen of the United States. Our country is the finest
in the world and your work with promoting the values of Scouting helps to
keep America strong.
I am confident that the virtues presented in your book will provide citizens
with the valuable knowledge that is gained through Scouting programs.
I wish you both continued success in the future with the publication of your
